Dear Valued Customers,

This notice informs you of recent changes to Vietnam's Law on National Security, especially regarding the management of information and communication on the Internet.

After 25 years, the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC), in collaboration with the Department of Resource Management Policy, is conducting its first comprehensive audit of the VN country code top-level domain (ccTLD) management system. This process includes verifying domain ownership in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.

To comply with Vietnamese law and VNNIC policies, registrants must submit their domain registration applications for verification by August 31, 2025. The deadline has been extended multiple times since January 5, 2025. We are now extending it by 30 days to September 30, 2025.

Non-compliance with VNNIC regulations may result in a domain being classified as invalid. Under VNNIC's current guidelines, registrants will continue to receive support, and '.vn' domains will not be suspended or revoked immediately after the deadline. The domain status will remain 'ACTIVE' past the specified deadline, allowing additional time for validation. If suspension or revocation becomes necessary due to incomplete submissions, inaccuracies, or missing documents, HI-TEK will notify registrants in advance before taking any action concerning unvalidated domains.

Over the past 7 months, from January 5 to July 31, 2025, HI-TEK has provided domain ownership validation services and conducted manual verifications for registrants at no charge. All domain registrations submitted by registrants for validation before July 31, 2025, as required by VNNIC, remain in good standing and are pending validation without incurring additional fees.

Effective August 1, 2025, a service fee will be applied for all .vn domain verification requests as outlined below. This adjustment is necessitated by unforeseen operational challenges, including extended validation periods by registrants, which have impacted processing timelines and increased the resources required to uphold our high service standards.

To comply with VNNIC regulations and policies, submit your domain registration for verification within the specified timeframe to avoid extra service fees related to the validation process.

Procedures and Guidelines for Domain Validation:

During the verification process, if it is identified that the domain name registrant has changed the ownership name, transferred the domain to another registrant or company, or updated the registrant or company name, it is necessary to submit a request for transfer of domain name ownership or update/change of the registrant or company name. The relevant application forms provided below should be used to apply for these changes before submitting your domain name registration for verification in accordance with VNNIC's regulations and authentication requirements.

Before printing the domain name registration form, please verify that your domain name registration records are up to date. The completed registration must be printed, signed by the Registrant, the Registrant’s Authorized Representative, or the Domain Administrator, and bear the Company Seal. It must be submitted along with all required supporting documentation listed below.

1. A copy of the complete domain name registration form. (Signed and stamped the registration form; signature notarization required if no company seal is available.)

2. A copy of the Business License or Certificate of Registration.

3. A copy of the ID card or passport of the registrant, the registrant's authorized representative, or the domain administrator is required. (Only one person signs the registration form.)

Kindly submit the completed domain name registration form together with supporting documents (#1, #2, and #3), as outlined above, in scanned PDF format via email to LEGAL@HI-TEK.COM.

Please be patient, as our manual validation process for verifying domain ownership is comprehensive and may take additional time on a case-by-case basis from the date your submission is received. The estimated timeframe for completion is 1 to 4 weeks, due to the high volume of domain validation requests received daily. Requests are processed in the order they are received, following a first-come, first-served policy.

Once we receive your full registration application and all required documents, we will notify you after reviewing and confirming that your application complies with VNNIC's policy requirements for domain name ownership verification.
